Awarded the “Gîtes de France” label, La Maison de Françoise is a peaceful retreat in the small commune of Vinon, on the doorstep of Sancerre’s famous hilltop. Here, stone walls and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere combine to give this home its timeless character. Surrounded by vineyards, you’ll be immersed in the quiet charm of the Sancerre countryside.
“Gîte de France” label
La Maison de Françoise is a large gîte in two parts: a house and an outbuilding. In the house, you’ll find a welcoming, fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the dining room, which can accommodate up to 12 people.
The house also includes 4 double bedrooms (160cm beds) and a children’s room with 2 90cm beds (trundle beds) named after local names in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region. Each room also has its own private bathroom, WC and flat-screen TV.
The 6th bedroom, located in the outbuilding, is accessible to people with reduced mobility. It can accommodate 2 people (160 cm double bed) and offers the same comforts as the rooms in the main house, with the addition of a kitchenette.
Bed linen and towels are provided and laid out in each room.
A cot is available on request.
Our room named Pouilly-Fumé is a white wine with protected designation of origin produced exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes around Pouilly-sur-Loire, in the Nièvre department.
Quincy is a white wine produced with 100% of Sauvignon blanc, in the communes of Quincy and Brinay in the Cher department.
‘Sancerre’, the name of this room, is a wine with a Protected Designation of Origin, covering 14 villages in the Cher department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. It is available in three varieties (white, red and rosé), made from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
Menetou-Salon is a wine with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, produced north-east of Bourges. The production area covers 640 hectares and is planted with Sauvignon (white wine) and Pinot Noir (red and rosé wines) grape varieties.
‘Châteaumeillant’ is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) covering red and rosé wines produced on the border between the departments of Cher and Indre, in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
Do you have more guests than the house can accommodate?
The Reuilly outbuilding can accommodate 2 additional guests. What’s more, it has been specially fitted out for people with reduced mobility, making it easy to get around.
Our gîte guarantees conviviality with its open kitchen for dinner or a game of board games.
Table soccer and darts are also available in a vaulted cellar with an illuminated sign bearing the estate’s name, ideal for aperitifs, a reading area, a relaxation area… There’s something for everyone here!
You’ll also find a private terrace with garden furniture, a gazebo and bike storage…
The gîte can only be booked for stays of

335 € / night + 230 € cleaning fee
Deposit: A deposit cheque for 500€ is required on arrival.
Tourist tax: calculated according to the number of adults and children. It is not included in the above rates and must be paid on arrival.
