It is the diversity of the soils of Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon and Quincy which give the richness and complexity to our wines.

Our vines are planted on a soil made of 2 / 3 of clay-limestone and 1/3 of flint for Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, clay and limestone for Menetou-Salon and sand as well as gravels for Quincy.

The clay and limestone soils are ideal for Sauvignon and from which it derives its subtle complexity, while the Pinot prefers heavier land where red and rosé wines can keep a light fragrance.

Our area covers thirty-two acres around Thauvenay on the southeastern hills of Sancerre. Our parcels cover 3 villages : Thauvenay, Ménétréol sous Sancerre and Vinon.
