A bit of History...
The Curot winery was established in the 80's by the sister of Éric Louis.
Composed of 12 hectares, 50% of the vines are located on the village of Vinon (south of Sancerre), which are famous for their grounds of limestone, clay and flint stone.
Nowadays, this is Éric Louis who takes care of the vines of Curot Winery and keep perpetuating the tradition and the unique taste of this wine.

Grape variety :

100% Sauvignon blanc

Terroir :
Our Sauvignon is grown on the hills southeast of Sancerre and thrives on clay-limestone and flint.

Vineyard work :
To optimize the quality of the harvest, the vines are subject to constant observation: we limit our returns, begin harvesting after the maturity of each plot, and then proceed to the sorting of the harvest ...

Winemaking :
The grapes are pressed slowly to extract the best of fruits flavours. It is then fermented for 2 weeks between 13 to 18 degrees, a technique that ensures the conservation of all fruit flavours. It is aged on its fine lees until February in order to develop its intense aromatic powerness and lenght in mouth.
There are then successive tastings that determine the timing of the bottling of our Sancerre.

Tasting :
Pale golden colour, perfect clarity. Open, fruity and concentrated nose (Citrus and tropical fruits). Fine and expressive aromas in mouth. The balance of the taste appears when chilled.

Food & Wine pairing :
Very pleasant as an aperitif, it is also the perfect companion for seafood and fish such as salmon from the Loire or a Carpaccio of blue fin tuna. It will marry nicely with Perigord or Berry salads, chavignolaise salmon canapés or lentil croquettes with saffron and spices.

Awards per vintage :

2017 : Bronze Medal at Bettane+Desseauve contest 2018

2017 : Silver Medal at Macon contest 2018

2017 : Silver Medal at International Vinalies contest 2018
